Fowards and PDFs no getting through Exchange 2010

I have a user who is having trouble getting emails from a couple people. When sending emails directly to and from the outside user everything works fine. However, when the outside user tries to forward an email or send an email with PDFs attachments they either are very delayed or get bounced back to the user.

Mailflow analyzer comes back clean.

The outside user has been added to our whitelists.

Thank you for your help ahead of time!

Here is one of the NDR messages the outside user has received.

Hello Community,

What is the good was to increase that limit?

Thank you.

Sharepoint not sending mail to external users

Hey Guys,

We recently decommissioned our Exchange 2003 server, this server was acting as a Hub Transport. All of our services have seamlessly transitioned to Exchange 2010 except SharePoint.

SharePoint is only able to send mail to internal addresses. I have followed guides such as this;

http://sharepointgeorge.com/2010/configuring-outgoing-email-sharepoint-2010/

I set up a SharePoint Send Connector with no success. Also I am not finding any logs in exchange relating to SharePoint attempting to send external mail.

Outlook free/busy issue related to setup/

I have exchange 2010 and my users have outlook 2007, 2010, and some 2013. Our email domain is test.com and we acquire another company. They are support.com. We migrate all of their users over and those users have an account in our domain along with their @support.com email.

Users on @test.com doesn't have any issues with free/busy or calendar issues where you can view someone's free/busy when setting up a new meeting. Users on @support.com are not able to view someone's free/busy on outlook, but it works on owa. I checked out those user outlook configuration and it's failing the autodiscover which is logical. The autodiscover is set to @test.com domain so of course @support.com would fail. These two domains are housed on the same exchange server.

How would you setup these two domain to work with free/busy? Am I missing something?

outlook emails changing BACK to unread after reply or forward

So when you get an incoming email alert popup in the lower right from outlook (2013 in this case) and you click on it and open it, then repl\y or forward it, you will notice it is at first marked as READ.  When you hit send, it will once again be marked as UNREAD.

Any ideas?  To test, just send yourself an email from gmail or something.  When you see the alert, click on it.  Reply to it and see if the read email returns to unread.

Hi Everyone;

I am an issue that im slightly confused on.

I have a user that was just given a new laptop with office 2010 installed.  Ever since then, whenever she tries to change meetings or alter meetings in the calendar, it gives her the "could not complete the operation.  One or more parameter values are not valid" error message and im at a loss.  Her emails are cached BTW and we have an Exchange server.

moving a mailbox

Our exhange server (2013) has been having some issues lately.  This past weekend, I had to reset all the networking on the server itself, remove and re-create the send and all the receive connectors.  I'm also having to move mailboxes to a new database.

I'm down to the last 2 mailboxes, and they're giving me nothing  but grief.  They keep going from InitialSeeding to CopyingMessages to MDBOffline to NetworkFailure and back and fourth.  Currently, one is at about 42% and the other is at about 33%.  Each time the move restarts, it might get another point or two further along before having another issue.

Is there anything I can do to help things along?

Thanks!

Exchange 2013 RecoverServer Mode

I just freshly installed Exchange 2013 on a new server in the domain, everything went perfect, no errors at all. Whenever we try to go to localhost/ecp, we get the page can't be displayed. But when we go to http://server/ecp from another domain name, it works fine. I figured there was something that went wrong during the install. So I tried using setup /m:RecoverServer but now I'm getting another error. My logs are below. Any ideas?

Exchange 2013 mailbox move reports

Hello,

I'm in the middle of a move to exchange 2013 from exchange 2007. All of the configuration is working swell, mail is flowing as it should, and I've already successfully moved a handful of mailboxes over (not without incident, but I've also been able to correct the issues as I go.).

I'm at a point where my boss wants to have his mailbox moved before I do any others. He's the Director of IT, and he started here a long while ago as the help desk guy. He has a really good sense of how the C-level management team and their direct reports use their email, the rest of the company doesn't get too many options. He wants to see his move successfully before we touch the others, because the nature of their jobs (and our current processes) do not really give us much leeway for downtime. That all said, I've run into an issue with moving his...

Outlook 2013 cannot connect to exchange 2013 in different domain

Hello all.

I have an installation with 2 domains sharing the same network.  Domain A has an exchange server and several users connect with Outlook 2013 and OWA with no problem.  My issue is that Domain B does not have a trust relationship with Domain A and I cannot connect users on the terminal server with Outlook 2013 to the Exchange server in Domain A.  I can ping the server by name and I can authenticate by typing \\exchangeserverA and entering credentials.  No matter if I use automatic or manual settings I cannot setup users for email in Domain B.

Any ideas?

Connect to Exchange locally but off the domain

Hi guys! Need help as I am stumped!

Configured a new exchange server 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2. Everything is working like when a computer is on the domain and you open Outlook  the auto discover works and sets it up and when that computer is off the domain it accesses the server too.

Now I got a bunch of users that use personal laptops and therefore not on the domain, in the office outlook just doesn't connect to exchange, the auto discover doesn't work, but if I hook it up to an external connection the auto discovery works and I can set it up and once on the local network again everything continues to work. I got no idea why I can't connect an off domain laptop to their exchange account on the local network. Ive created firewall rules to allow it port 443 and on the windows firewall.

Exchange 2010 - Security Alert after updating server from .local to FQDN

$

Hi All,

I'm currently pulling my hair out trying to work out what is causing the pop up alert on the users Outlook.

I have recently renewed SSL which I had to change server names to FQDN. I've run all the commands, downloaded digicert program and every single cross check shows that i'm now using a .com server name for OAB, ActiveSync,OWA etc

However, I am getting the below error and presented up the top is the previous .local server names with this alertThe names on the security certificate is invalid or does not match.

I have checked the servers and removed any certificates that were installed and installed the new one. Confirmed there a DNS enteries.

One thing that i do find odd is that when i look up the OWA it is showing the wrong URL which should be assigned to a different database. Not sure if that is related.

Hopefully i've explained...

Exchange 2010 - Mail routing through old database

Ok, i have a tricky one that hopefully someone can shed some light on it .....

Will explain how my environment is set up.

1 domain controller

4x exchange servers

2 out of the 4 are old servers and will be decommissioning once figured out this issue

The issue is that mail is routing through one of the old servers even though the send connector source server only shows the 2 new servers.

Does outbound mail use the receive connectors?

Thanks

Outlook and OWA don't sync with Exchange 2010

4th day on the job and i get called in at 6AM to try and fix our email server.

I get the emails going, and then they stop again.

Now the issue is thus: All exchange services appear to be up and running (according to services.msc), however outlook shows as disconnected, and i can only pull up emails on OWA for over an hour ago. Nothing more recent than that.

Help would be appreciated!

Exchange 2010 - Shared Calendar Search Issues

Hi All,

This one has had me stuck for a fewdays and Google isn't helping much.

So I have one shared calendar on Exchange 2010 with a really strange quirk, when different people search for the samewords they get different results. some people can't search forwards, some people just get a few future results andall can search in the past.

I have replicated this with every user in my office and get different results each time.

- I have checked search settings within Outlook 2013 and all are the same

- I have checked theproperties of the calendar in Exchange and compared it to other shared calendars that work ok.

- I have recreated the calendar and copied all of the meetings across but the same issue happens on the new calendar.

Any ideas are very welcome

Many thanks

Dave

Outlook 2010 locks up/crashes when dealing with shared mailboxes/calendars

Hello,

I have a few machines running mainly Outlook 2010 (but sometimes 2013) that seem to become completely unresponsive when accessing either shared mailboxes or shared calendars. We have an Exchange 2013 server with the latest updates/rollups/etc. that is hosted at a data center that we connect to via a 300Mb MPLS.

I have tried rebuilding Outlook profiles but the issue inevitably returns a few days later.

Any thoughts or things I should look at?

The event log is 1002 and reads:

The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 14.0.7157.5000 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

We had a major Exchange server failure last week and I have been rebuilding it and reloading Exchange.  I had to completely restore from backup into a completely new mailbox database.  It sucked...

I think I'm getting things back together now and mail is flowing... However, on some of the users' Outlook, they can't send mail at all... They get the message that "You can't send a message on behalf of this user unless you have permission to do so."  I'm opening up my own mailbox in Outlook and it doesn't matter who I send to, internal or external... If I do the same thing in OWA, it works just fine... What is outlook doing that is so different?  I have already rebuilt my profile in Outlook but it still does the same thing...

Exchange/Office 365 Novice asking for help!

I have an interesting email scenario being asked of me, and I could really use some brain power. Our company has acquired another company. Because they are accounting firms, we will not be integrating the acquired company's users or data until after tax season--except email. The newly acquired users will be in a different location, not on our domain.

Primary company is using Microsoft Exchange 2007 on premise.

Acquired company is using Office 365.

They want the newly acquired employees to have @primarycompany.com addresses to be used for all correspondence as of Nov. 1. The new users also need to have @acquiredcompany.com email forwarding to the new address for any clients who have not updated their contact info, yet. They also need to have all contacts and calendar entries made in Outlook able to sync with mobile devices. All users...

Weird Exchange Server 2007 Problem

$

We've got to Exchange servers (both Exchange Server 2007). The mailboxes and a few public folders are on server 1. Server 2 has a test mailbox and many public folders (some are very large). Early this morning, before work, I received an email from one user saying that they were getting a message in Outlook that "the server was busy" when they tried to file an email into a public folder. When I got to work, I had a number of users complaining about the same problem or a similar problem ("the operation failed" when attempting to access a public folder). It seemed hit or miss depending on the particular public folder but I did find that the problem only occurred with public folders on server 2. It also appears that it has something to do with the size (amount of content) of the public folder on server 2 - larger ones fail but often...
