This is a two part question. But first the background.
We are starting a nationwide event. Rather than inundate one mailbox with thousands of messages, I need to create about 15 "fake" email addresses (based on the city that will be hosting the event) that will be forwarded to personal email addresses of volunteers. For example, posters in my area will have the address: DogFestSantaRosa@cci.org. Messages coming to this address will need to be routed to someone's G-mail/Yahoo/etc. account. The messages will not be checked here on campus.
Question 1: Do I also need to create AD users for these?
Question 2: In Exchange, how do I set up a Forward to an outside email address?
Anything else I should be aware of by doing this?
