Hi - Looking for exchange 2007 to 2010 migration, details are;
Current Enviornment -
Exchange 2007 Sp3 - Windows Server 2003 Enterprise - Currently have Two HUB/CAS and One Mailbox ServerBES Express Server - Windows 2003 Standard Sp2 - BlackBerry Version: 5.0.4 - Bundle 38 and BlackBerry Dispatcher version: 5.0.4.11Enterprise Vault - 9.1 - WIndows 2003 Standard Sp2Exclaimer installed on both HUB/CAS servers for email signatureMS Outlook 2007
Total Accounts - 600 - Online Accounts - 450Citrix Envi.
Porosed Architecture -
Exchnage 2010 - possibly two Servers having all the roles installed and one Windows Load balancing server, later the load balancing server can be our Netscaler which currently is LB for our Citrix for all above users.
Main Checkpoints -
How the above migration can be made as seamless as possible in terms of - Co-existence of Exchange - 2007 and 2010.Start testing on test accounts, then move non-critical mailboxes from 2007 to 2010.How to configure BES to talk to 2007 as well as 2010How to configure Symantec Enterprise Vault to talk to Exchange 2007 and 2010.How Exclaimer can work on both Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 servers.How to test and configure DAG
One more Query -
Does Exchange 2010 needs more space then 2007, e.g. a data store occupying 100GB space in 2007 might claim even 100% more when shifted to 2010. So the space requirement goes very high in Exchange 2010.
