Hi everyone,
with regards to Outlook in cached mode connected over a lan to Exchange, when new email is received by exchange a new email notification is sent to Outlook. Outlook would then wait for a default period of 30 seconds before updating.
Is this also the case when using cached mode with rcp over http?
I have a client using hosted exchange and they are constantly having issues where Outlook is not updating automatically. ie when they are experiencing this issue I can send an email, prove exchange has received it using owa but Outlook doesn't. Doing an update folders in Outlook will most often cause new mail to be delivered and Outlook works OK again until the next time this happens.
I have checked that the email account is configured as per the hosting companies requirements, deleted and re created their outlook profile. Even un installed outlook made sure all profile entries in registry were deleted, re installed Outlook and configured and they still experience this issue.
Any suggestions?
