Running Exchange 2016 On Premise. I'm trying to create a transport rule that will auto accept all meeting request from internal users only. Below is the rule I created but it's not working. The calendar invite stays in the Inbox and you have to manually accept the meeting. I've already tried to restart the Transport Service after creating the rule.

Has anyone found a way to automatically apply a template to an email when a specific address is entered?
Is there a way to do this with Exchange Online?

We have exchange 2013 on prem.
I have set up a policy named ABC and it has a retention tag applied to it which should delete emails older than 6 months.
I have applied this policy to a user mailbox and it has been more than 24 hours and nothing has happened yet.
When doing this it said that i have to wait for the exchange assistant(or messaging assistant) to run, but i couldn't find any info how long i have to wait for it to run.
Is there a better way to do this or should i just keep on waiting ?

I'm trying to migrate some On-Prem Exchange 2013 shared mailboxes to Exchange Online, but am running into some issues. Our environment is (still) in full hybrid mode and needs to stay that way... for a while longer.
I have created a dummy shared mailbox with the same name, the same email address and the same delegations. That way, users still on-prem and users online can access the shared mailboxes.
When doing that, it also created a new user object in Azure/O365.
I ran the migration (the normal "Move Mailbox - To Exchange Online" from ECP)
The migration failed with an error :
Target user 'John Smith' already has a primary mailbox. --> Target user 'John Smith' already has a primary mailbox.

I've added multimedia queues to my contact center and want to enforce the rule of no direct email contact with my contact center agents. I'd like to redirect (not forward) their emails to my new contact center email address. However there are some exceptions. For example, internal company contacts and specific vendor domains should not be redirected. I know this can be accomplished using rules on the outlook client, but I have concerns of user compliance. Setting this up at the server level would force compliance. I have been told by my IT team that they can't do this at the server level. (We use rackspace hosting if that matters). Any thoughts? any other work arounds you think could work?

I have setup a new Active Directory and a new exchange 2019 server
After that I have installed a new Exchange and setup a DAG formation between them.
So far all is well both servers replicate and respond both seems to be healthy, im able to switchover and migrate databases, all the logs and checks goes healthy, autodiscover respond successfuy on both of them and certificates are configured correctly on both frontend and backend on the iis.
The problem starts when I shutdown the first server than the mailbox are not reachable anymore and on OWA/ECP I get the login screen but after a successful login I get 503 error.
I pretty sure it has something to do with databases allowing connection to only the first server but I'm open to any suggestions.

Now are working migrate Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016, current I create a lab for testing but got the problem can't be solved, hope anyone can give me hints.
Current my stage on Lab environment:
-Current Exchange 2010 Server on production
- Firewall Port 25/443 is the point to Exchange 2010
- New Exchange 2016 was installed
- Send Connector only add Exchange 2016 on the scope for Exchange 2016 mailbox allow send out an email.
Current stage problem:
- Exchange 2010 all function is work, but can't send e-mail to co-exist Exchange 2016 mailbox
- New incoming e-mail to co-exist Exchange 2016 mailbox is stuck on Exchange 2010 queue.
- Exchange 2016 mailbox can send out to the 2016 mailbox and external e-mail, except the 2010 mailbox.
If firewall port 25/443 point to Exchange 2016, the problem from 2016 will turn to 2010.

I appear to have developed an issue with clients being unable to send or receive emails when they are off network (I.e using mobile data)
Here’s the setup:
Exchange 2016 on premises Server
iOS email client
When the user is attempting to send or receive mail on their iPhone when off premises their inbox won’t update and any emails sent are stuck in the outbox.
As soon as the users connect to the LAN everything works fine again.
What’s strange is the users can still access OWA externally.
Nothing has been changed on the server that I am aware of and the users were able to previously send/receive emails when off network (I.e mobile data)
Can anyone point me in the right direction on what may have gone wrong as I’m not super brilliant with diagnosing exchange.

I had a power failure, & using Exchange 2016 database.
right now my Exchange 2016 database crashed, are in a dirty shutdown state and I tried to use eseutil.
Error:: "Operation terminated with error -1022 (JET_errDiskIO, Disk IO error)

Setting up an Exch. 2019 CU4 test VM in Azure to test ugrading to CU6. Install fails during prereq analysis, saying:
Error:
The 'ISAPI Filter' component is required. Install the component via Server Manager.
Error:
The 'IIS Management Console' component is required. Install the component via Server Manager.
I've confirmed that these 2 components are both already installed per Server Manager and also tried to reinstall them via Powershell and it returns "NoChangeNeeded".
How do I get the Exchange installer to recognize that these components are actually installed?

I manage an on premise Exchange 2013 environment with a single server hosting all the roles and running the latest CU. There are 54 mailboxes in the environment. All user mailboxes are connected to using either Outlook 2013 32-bit or Outlook 2016 32-bit , mostly from Windows 10 machines of various build versions. There are still a handful of Windows 7 as well. All users have always used Outlook in Cached Exchange Mode since many years ago without experiencing this issue. Most users also use ActiveSync devices, mostly iPhone and some Android.
I have a single user that had an issue about three weeks ago where he noticed new emails would show up on his iPhone but not in Outlook. If I turned off cached mode they would show up instantly. I went through extensive different possible solutions which I'll list below. When none of them solved...
I setup redirecting of http to https for users and it works internally but wasn't working externally. I added http to the mail service group for the nat policy on the fireawll and I managed to get it work (redirect to https) before disabling again. Is enabling http a security risk?

I'm new to this exchange challenge so I need your guideline please.
The scenario is that In my organization there is certificate that almost comes to is end. this certificate is "*.domain.local" and it using for the Internal URL (OWA, MAIL, Autodiscovery...) but after some checking i find out that the CA publisher was an old server that no longer exit and I have no way to revoke the certificate.
So basically I have two option: One, is to install a new CA and publish a new * Certificate.
The second is to combine between the two URLS External and the Internal.
My environment look like this:
Internal-URL: Autodiscovery.domain.local
External-URL: Autodiscovery.domain.org.il
The External is a different from the Internal.

I am not expert of exchange, If DAG is configured with two exchange servers Ex01 and Ex02 and Ex01 restarted for some reason, so Ex02 should Active as per DAG configuration and users will not lose access to their emails.
Before restarting Ex01 I have to switch over and put it on maintenance mode first then restart, Or I can restart it directly ? as Ex02 is running already.
We're using Office via a Microsoft 365 Standard Business licence, so have a 50GB mailbox limit
One user is approaching that limit and so needs to get rid of some old e-mails. He would like them archived to a PST.
Running the Archive procedure through Outlook (with a date filter) creates the PST file OK and puts all the required e-mails in there. However the e-mails are not deleted from Outlook. My previous experience has been that the e-mails would be deleted - has anything changed with Office 365 compared to old versions?
I though maybe it was related to the fact that he's using Outlook in cached mode. However I left it a day or so to see if anything changed, but it's still as it was - full mailbox and archived e-mails still present.
Any ideas?

currently we are facing problem of not delivering email because of reverse DNS lookup failed. MX record in place but on hosting site we ask them to add the PTR record. not sure that hosting has to add PTR record or ISP has to do this. our edge server Network config is like this. IP, Gateway and Local DNS. some emails can deliver but some are not. kindly assist.

I'm trying to apply a policy which will delete all mailbox(older than 2 years) from all default folders and subfolders but exclude contacts , calendars tasks and notes.
Plan is to have a policy with the following tags:
Delete everything -default mailbox retention tag which deletes everything older than 2 years from all folders.
DoNotDeleteCalendarDefaultFolder - retention tag applied to a default folder "Calendar" and the Retention period set to never. According to Microsoft it says: Select "Never" to never have the selected move or delete action applied. Note, an item can have both archive and delete tags applied.
Am I correct to assume that this will override the delete everything tag applied to default mailbox ?
I'm having a problem where I can't seem to select a default folder for Contacts or Tasks because it's missing.
I only see Notes...
