I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...
Brand new Exchange 2010 installation into existing forest. I installed 2010 SP1 and am trying to upgrade to SP3 since EMC isn't compatible with Server 2012.
My first attempt to upgrade didn't start, I followed advice to remove the Action key from HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\V14\*Role*.
It upgraded Mailbox, and CAS but at HTR I'm getting "This server role can't be installed because the following roles aren't current: AdminToolsRole"
I tried running SP1 again but the setup runs SP3 upgrade. I removed Watermark, restarted as suggested. I even tried uninstalling exchange with appwiz.cpl but the error indicates that I need to run Setup.
So now I'm stuck, I can't finish SP1, I can't upgrade to SP3, I can't uninstall. Short from wiping the system, is there anything else I can try?
