Exchange not connecting to backup DC

We had a primary DC failure today but were able to keep business moving as our Secondary DC came into it's own. However I am having problems with Exchange. For whatever reason it will not let me into EMC, OWA is down and no emails are passing through.

I updated the DNS information on the server to point to the backup DC, flushed the DNS and seized all roles including the global catalog on the new DC and yet still nothing.

I am getting the following errors in EMC:

The attempt to connect to https://server.domain/PowerShell using "Kerberos" authentication failed. Connecting to remote server failed wit hthe following error message: The WinRM client received an HTTP server error status (500), but the remote service did not include any other information about the cause of the failure. And a webpage not available on OWA. Thoughts?
