Another head scratcher.. I have a user who created rules for a shared mailbox through OWA (they cannot log in to the mailbox as the account is disabled, they found a way around that.. different story..) and on friday the users reported duplicate emails in their inbox.
I checked the Exchange server and looked at the rules for the shared mailbox and discovered that there were duplicates of each rule. They were all named the same: IE DarkApollo and DarkApollo, so the system created the duplicates, not the user (as it would append (1)) The rule ID strings are different.
The obvious solution is to just axe the rules and have them deal with it, but I am trying to be more civil and allow them to make their job a little easier with the rules.
However, this is now going onday 3.
