I was playing with server 2012 in a test environment and decided to install exchange to see how it all worked out. Might even flip on a random mx record we own but down use and full out test it to show it off to the owner. Weird thing though it gets to the point where it is analyzing the system to see if it is alright to install then hits an error. Wrong OS detected. Its server 2012 which is one of the I don't know 4 that it is meant to run on so it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone else seem this? No other errors beyond that and I can't click install.
The whole shebang is running on a old dell laptop that is out of service that I just scrapped together to play with it on so it is all running physical and somewhat underpowered. Still should be fine for the testing purpose I am using it for.
