Unable to login to Office 365 via Office 2007

Good day everyone,

I have been trying to get an Office 365 email to connect to Office 2007 but sadly when in the middle of the autodiscover process (the one where it tries to login to the server), Outlook 2007 keeps on asking me for the password. I know I am typing the correct password because I can access the email from the portal.microsoft.com.

I tested the same account to my PC with Outlook 2007 and I was able to set it up with no hassles. Everyone here in the office uses Office 2007 and this is the only machine that had problem with the email.

Now, before installing Outlook 2007, I had tried the trial version of Office 2013 but sadly, the product key is not being accepted by Windows 8. It just keeps on telling me the same error (error 25004) after numerous installations and reinstallations and even RESETTING Windows 8 (took me 4 hours to complete), I still get error 25004. So with that, I opted to use the old Office 2007 from an old PC (got the key from BelArc).

Now I've managed to install Office 2007 to this machine, but I still can't get past the password. Is this a license issue or do I have to change any setting?

I've been reading a lot about autodiscover and most of them are on the server side. My only problem is this computer. This is the only one where the email doesn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas?
