Long story short, my backup solution is complaining about reading some sectors. Chkdsk /f fixed it for 48 hours but it's back.
Next logical step (to me, anyway) seems to be chkdsk /r so I can mark those sectors as bad. However, I've never run this on Exchange before. Are there any risks in doing so?
Note: I'm aware of the risks of /r under normal conditions; just want to see if Exchange further complicates the usual risks.
I plan on using Windows Server Backup to make a copy of the DB's first.
Thanks!
