2 forests and one exchange 2010 server

Hi all,

Hopefully I can get some help with this issue. I have 2 forests, forest A and forest B with an exchange 2010 server in Forest B.

Last night I created a VPN along with a forest trust, two ways.

I can create a linked mailbox on the exchange server in Forest B and point it towards an account in Forest A.

The issue is for configuring outlook or OWA for a user in forest A. I have to use their domain to login which is user@xyz.local but they need to be able to use the domain of forest B which is user@xyz.com and this also happens to be their external email address.

I was reading that exchange creates a disabled local account for a linked mailbox, do I have to enable it, set the master id and give send as permissions of the user in Forest A? If so, how do I do that?

Or is there a better way of doing this?

Thanks in advance for the help.
