Hi guys
While I was tinkering with my Exchange 2007 server, I almost had a panic attack today.
I was setting up outlook to be used OUTSIDE my organization using IMAP and I discovered that I can set it up so not only OUTGOING doesn't require SSL but also no authentication !
Following it, I just took a random piece of software which can send emails, I set it up and I was able to send emails from random, non existing emails in my domain to users in my domain !!! I couldn't sent emails to, let's say GOOGLE, but still, that could be potentially used to flood my server with spam !!!
I have no idea whats causing it, but its not right ?
Can anyone help ?
