The company I work for currently uses GMAIL as their email host. We have decided to move email hosting internally and implement Exchange 2013 Standard for ~50 users. As a company, we like redundancy, so we are also planning to install Exchange on two identical servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
I'm new to the whole clustering scenario, but we currently have load balanced web servers and databases configured for fail-over. Since the specs are pretty good, I don't foresee us needing to load balance our email servers, so I'd like to plan for fail-over clustering. My boss was planning on using DFRS to replicate the database and files across the cluster, however, I don't think that would be the most adequate for an exchange environment. I was suggesting a DROBO B800 or similar NAS device that is capable of iSCSI.
