I'm running an Exchange 2010 SP3 on a Server 2008R2 VM.
I came into work this morning and Exchange is extremely slow and almost unresponsive. It took over 20 minutes for my folders to sync this morning when it normally takes 5-10 seconds.When I sent a test message to myself it sat on "sending 1 of 1" for almost 5 minutes. Other users are experiencing the same send/receive performance issue.
First I restarted the Information Store service which didn't help. I then rebooted the Exchange server which also didn't help. All other VMs are performing without issue so I'm confident this is an Exchange issue and not a hardware or network connectivity issue. Also, the Exchange server itself seems to be running fine. It's just the mailstore which is having issues. Looking at Queue Viewer I see that messages are starting to pile up for "mailbox...
