I'm in the process of transitioning our exchange 2003 environment to 2007, but for some reason our environment is in mixed mode, and I am unable to change it to Native-mode.
I have tried to follow

But I am having a problem, because we have never had Exchange 5.5 in our environment. I do have the active directory connector installed on my 2003 server, but there are no Connection agreements. There is no other exchange server listed other than our current exchange server.
Do I simply need to remove the active directory connector from our current exchange server to be able to proceed? I just do not want to do anything that could impact current email traffic.
