Outlook 2013 shows AD object instead of username

I am trying to assist a user who keeps getting what seems to be the Active Directory object show up instead of the username as the organizer in an outlook 2013 calendar event.  The name shows up as something like: /o=DOMAIN/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=username.
