We now have two domains that are being used on one Exchange 2010 server. abc.com domain is the main in which all employees are assigned and now def.com domain is being utilized as a second company.
I've added the email addresses to those users that are on both domains (jdoe@abc.com and jdoe@def.com) and confirmed that they are working but my question is: can one user have a primary (reply) email address to both domains? How would distribution groups works as well?
Domain 2 is growing to where we need these groups but so far they have the same group names as those already used by domain 1. Ex: hr@abc.com and now need hr@def.com.
Since they are tagged as jdoe@abc.local on domain 1, I'm not seeing where it can be in the same format but I'm curious if anyone has had/solved this situation.
