Hi there, I am having an issue with the autodiscover service.
I have renewed and installed a new certificate to the Exchange server. Due to the changes with SSL certificates which no longer allow the use of a .local domain I have updated the exchange config as per this document. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726
I've updated all of:
The Service Connection Point object for the Autodiscover service
The InternalUrl attribute of Exchange Web Service (EWS)
The InternalUrl attribute of the Offline Address Book Web service
The InternalUrl attribute of the Exchange unified messaging (UM) Web service
I have added a DNS zone to the domain controller DNS for the public version and added a host record to redirect to the local exchange server.
I have then used control panel > Mail to attempt to reconfigure the Outlook client to use the public version of the host.
After clicking "check name" the server name reverts to the old hostname.local version.
The result is that outlook clients are constantly getting a certificate trust error each time they open the client because the certificate in use does not have the .local version of the server in the list of SAN's on the certificate.
Does anyone have any further instructions on how to correct this problem?
Regards
Andrew
