I recently installed a new ssl certificate for Exchange 2007. The install was successful except for the local Outlook clients. The Outlook client security alert states "the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site." The common name on the cert is mail.example.com but the domain name is example.ad. Due to the Guidance on Internal Names, example.ad cannot be used as an alternate name on the ssl cert.
What are my options for getting the client to accept the ssl certificate without having to rename our domain from example.ad to example.com?
