Situation: User Account/email address was set up so that a department can respond to certain requests (in this case graffiti). This account was created some time ago (2012) and was setup as a user account that certain people would log in to check the reports. Now there is a need for more people to access this account and no one knows the password. I know I can just reset the password but I am looking for a better solution.
The person in charge has requested making it a distribution group (because they want to keep the same established email address). I know that since it is a user account with its own mailbox this cant be done (or can it?). after doing some research it seems as if a shared mailbox is the way to go for what they are trying to achieve because they do want to added users to be able to respond.
