I know this question has been asked a 1,000 times, but I have spent 2 days trying various solutions with no luck.
I have Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, and installed Office 2010 Pro Plus. I use the Mail app in the Control Panel to create a profile and manually configure an email account to connect to exchange. When it tries to contact exchange to verify my mailbox it takes a minute or 2, says "Not responding" in the window title bar, eventually it comes back and says that exchange is not online. I am able to successfully use the same manual settings in the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer, and it connects through the proxy, etc... I can access my email via OWA, but not from the desktop mail app or outlook. I am stumped.
